OUR EVER CHANGING PERSONALITY

Personality is the characteristic that leads us to act consistently in different situations", according to Robert. S. Fieldman. However, some other theories suggest that a person's personality can change and evolve throughout one's life. I personally believe in the latter. It is my credence that personality is a multifaceted and dynamic construct that cannot be fully captured by any single theory or set of dimensions. A person’s personality and psyche cannot stay constant amidst the varying hurdles that life throws. Personality is refined based on the different state of affairs to which it has to adapt. As youngsters who have just managed to stumble out of high school, we don’t need to be reminded about how different some of our personalities were. Our personalities have transitioned from those of winners to survivors. Each and every soul has seen different highs and lows that have shaped them and made them the people they are at this moment in time. Whether it was facing the loss of a loved one, bullying, anxiety, issues with their self-esteem, loneliness, stress, or something even as seemingly simple as losing their strong foothold on academics or other previous strengths. These are all issues that we have faced and from which we have risen triumphantly, and it would be impossible to do so without altering our way of thinking and tweaking our personalities.

Changing one’s personality just to fit in or exist may come off as an appalling lifestyle choice but I think it is impossible to stay the same after facing life-altering situations like those mentioned above. Change is an inevitable part of life and it has a profound impact on our lives. Change can challenge us, push us out of our comfort zones, and force us to adapt and grow. It makes us who we are. We as individuals are comprised of change, physically mentally and emotionally. Change can be a catalyst for personal growth and transformation. So, no matter what happened to us between the span of our personalities changing from those of winners to survivors, we can’t really can't be too dismayed about our circumstances as it was our changing personality that got us through the most challenging phases of life. We have evolved to become stronger, more resilient, and more adaptable people. Life has now taught us in its own messy way that our personalities have their own important implications and can change throughout our lives. Understanding one's own personality is vital for personal growth and development, and understanding the personalities of others can help us be better team players and communicators.

Overall, personality plays an important role in shaping how we interact with the world around us and can impact our relationships, career choices, and overall well-being.
